I come from such a pretty town. It’s amazing how you can pack 20 years into 0.9 square miles, but when my parents move I will miss the blackberry bush, the baseball diamond lights, and same streets from 252 to 600 W to 800 N to Highway 9 to a street named after the first president, and so on. I can say for a fact I have driven a car or ridden a bike down each and every street in Hope, in either direction more than once. When I was away at Purdue and I was asked about my hometown and I described it this way; “Hope is the kind of town you could get abducted by a UFO at 2 am and no one would see it, but everyone would know by noon.” Come visit.
